I don’t know about you but I always feel that September is a much better time than January to be making changes and doing things differently.
It’s been a long time since I was at school but I still get a thrill from new stationery (I come from a long line of stationery obsessives and have definitely passed this onto my daughter!)
Doesn’t a new notebook make you feel like you could take on the world?

September is a great time to be setting new goals and making plans and I have been doing this over the last couple of weeks.
It has now been six months since I left my corporate job and I am really loving the freelance life – on a beautiful day it’s really liberating to be able to switch my schedule around to meet friends for ice cream and the slower pace really lets me manage my pain levels so much better.
I’m writing this sat on my sofa after a busy, exhausting and painful but fantastic weekend at the Happy Place Festival with my sister.

I’ve signed up to a local networking group and will go to my first in person session at the end of the month. I’m also attending their webinars and sessions to help develop my business plan further. I’ve also signed up to a marketing course with the amazing Lisa Sykes and am really looking forward to learning more.
Summer isn’t quite over for me as my husband and I are going on holiday next week. When I get back Autumn will be making her presence felt and I will be putting some plans into action, so watch this space for special offers and updates on my projects.
Finally, a huge thank you and shout out to my friend Becki for inspiring this post! Becki makes awesome audio dramas at Nothing but Roaring and you should definitely check it out (especially Much Ado About Nothing as I am in that one!)
